Searching for “preppy” on Etsy always makes me wish I had a dog. And… a baby. Ahem.
Since I have neither of those things, here are some of my favorite finds for myself. If I can’t have a dog OR a baby (yet!), I may as well be a little selfish.

Perfect for shopping with girlfriends or running to the store. I might even stash makeup in it and stick it in a larger bag.

I can’t decide if I like this or not – I’d have to see it on. For $10, it’s worth a try. There are other cute colors too.
For my classroom:
No, it doesn’t QUITE match my color scheme. The scheme may have to undergo some tweaking though, because this is just too pretty not to have it on my desk.

I looked through all 65 pages of search results. Tomorrow I’m either buying a puppy, or talking with CM about our 3 year plan. 
I love the paper weight. We purchaed on for my mom’s 70th birthday.

I just found your blog (I’m new to blogging and such) and love it! I’m going to teach 8th grade next year-my first year- and I’m super excited about decorating my classroom. I can totally feel your pain about having to change the color scheme every time something is super cute!
Lena – I’m also a first year teacher, and I’m also teaching 8th grade (math, specifically). We should trade tips on how to keep 13 year old boys actively engaged in learning (and not girls).
